With the weather well into the 100s for several months, the dogs have been living in the crates in the house while im at work. It is not the quality of life i want for them but there’s just no way i can leave them out when the weather is like that. The chickens were …

Surprise Frogs
Unfortunately, after 4 years without substantial rain the river has gone dry. I did not know it could do that. I have never seen the bottom of the river bed. It turns out the rocks are white. I guessed they would be algae covered but i was wrong. They are white limestone rocks. They are …
Planning a Surprise Party for Two Very Special Doggos at the Nursing Home

However, there is a male blue heeler that might as well be the company mascot. He plays fetch with the patients in the courtyard, drinks from his special water bottle …

A Taste of Rain

A Season of Puppies
I believe that my dogs’ unfortunate contraction of distemper had an unexpected helpful side effect. The dirt in the dog run and surfaces in the house are now contaminated and will be for the next year. We could not have another dog here if we wanted to. This is good because, im living in a …
Revamping the Dog Run
I am working two towns over from where i am living at the moment. It means it takes an hour to drive there and an hour to drive back. As my work hours picked up to full time i began to sweat about how long i was leaving the dogs cooped up in crates indoors. …
