After i pull out Sili’s winter coat i always lay the fur in the grass near the chicken pen. The birds go there to steal feathers and chicken feed and so its an area highly trafficked by songbirds. When they encounter the offering a lot of them take pieces of dog fur to line their …

Grandpa’s Weeder
I ordered this thing online and it came in the mail. It is the greatest invention. I immediately went and pulled up all the bull thistles on the property. They pop right out root and all! It’s so amazing! You just line it up, push it down, and lean to the side. It is now …
It’s Frog Season
I try to keep these guys away from the dogs but this time of year they’re everywhere. Occasionally one comes in throwing up white foam and i know they’ve picked up a frog of some sort. You’d think they’d learn but they never do. They just dont eat for a day and they throw up …

Building a Carport
After the hail storm i got online and ordered a carport from amazon. Something had to be done. I called a handyman i had used in the past and asked for a quote for the job. A quote was given and agreed upon and they let me know when they could come out and start. …
Electricity in the Greenhouse
Before i bought the property i live on now i spent about a decade living in apartments. I had balcony gardens. I had courtyard gardens. I had hanging gardens…but i always had a garden of some sort. I did fairly well for having everything in containers. I grew roses and double blossom hibiscus, herbs and …
