Around this time i noticed that there was a tiny little treasure sticking out of one of the little bean flowers. I had beans growing on the bean plants!! Eventually they would get larger but at the time when that first little bean hung there visible for all to see, it was such a beautiful sight and such a wonderful promise of self-pollinating food to come!
Now this didn’t happen until way later, so i’m going a bit out of order by throwing this in here but this is my single lemon cucumber that grew. The flowers were so much harder to pollinate than squash flowers because there was barely any pollen in them, but it seems to have worked in this case.
