I was hearing this repetitive squeaking noise. It was an animal noise but i couldnt figure out which animal it was coming from. The cat did not appear to he meowing, the chickens weren’t doing it, the dogs were still, and i saw no evidence of mice, toads, or rabbits nearby at the moment. Then the noise became louder. I looked up and realized that the squeaking was actually far off honking. There was a v formation of geese flying overhead. They were no doubt headed south for the winter. I watched them until they were out of sight. I wondered if any of the birds flying in that v formation had been in the formation that flew over the property last year.
