Sundown began with a bright beautiful full moon. It lit up the darkness and i was able to water the plants easily as everything was bathed in moonlight.
It was yellow when i left the house around 5:30 am. When i arrived in fredericksburg the moon was just above the horizon, huge, and it had turned bright red.
As i watched, the bright color shifted into a demure maroon and then black as the moon faded into the night sky, cloaked completely in shadow.
