My friend had offered to come help me construct this chicken coop, and i was thinking that’d be a good idea in case someone needed to hold a piece in place or against another piece while the other one used the drill. However, the anxiety disorder/adhd combo is a very effective pairing for getting things done. When the hyper-focus strikes, you kind of just have to roll with it lest you lose the momentum and miss an opportunity. I woke up at 7 am one morning…temperature was forecasted to be above 40 at 11 am, and i decided this thing was getting done and it was getting done right now. So i built a chicken coop identical to the one my older chickens were staying in. I put two bags of gravel down and bought a bag of grass seed for when it stops freezing so the chickens can have a bit of grass in their pen before they scratch and demolish everything remotely green.

I bought 11 pavers but they were out of them and not getting more until january 22. After the new shipment arrived i would return and buy 26 at once, put them on sheets in the back of the suv, and drive the winding one lane roads home for an hour very carefully so as not to shift the cargo and destroy the car interior.
