With a small kitten on the way i knew i had to downsize. I would not have time for every animal i was currently caring for. Keeping the snail terrarium clean and keeping them in constant supply of food in a moist environment that was not molding was a full time job. So, i released the garden snails. Before you yell at me for taking garden snails from fredericksburg and releasing them in my town…we have them here too. They hang out by the river instead of up here in the rocky area, which is probably where they will go since we’re only a ways away from it and i could technically walk there if i wanted to. They will have a better chance at life here amongst these snails as the ones in fredericksburg have primarily granite and not limestone for shell making…which makes for paper thin fragile shells.
