A Little Flathead Snake

There are a few of these guys that have dug holes near the well house and they come in and out of holes in the grass right around dusk. They’re solid brown and shiny.

    1. Im okay. On a hill. Several neighbors removed via helicopter. No electricity in the town. Crews are working to repair but the poles holding the lines went down the river and the bridge to get in or out now needs a structural engineer cuz theres a big gap. Fire station also flooded. Theres one town that we can currently get to via road. Need candles and batteries but will make a run for those when the chance of rain goes down. Every time it starts again the creeks rise. Brought a melon to share with a neighbor today and they gave me some food for the chickens, homemade almond butter and a charge cord to plug the phone into the car. People are nice here. When an emergency happens they share what they got. I offered water to people and they were actually trying to offer water to me…no looting here, just people banding together to make it with what we got. Thats why i like living in the country. Anyways just sitting in the car charging the phone and then im gonna go back and work on the only project that doesnt require electricity or lack of rain. Ive been promising my friend in washington id make her daughters cloth dolls for christmas for a few years now. This has been a good time to work on that. Once the electricity comes back on, then the repairs will start, beginning with the internet and the well.

      1. I was worried about you…despite never meeting you. I’m glad you’re okay.

The look out for each other, sharing and banding together happens here as well.

        Stay safe.
