Timing, Dishes, and Weather.

It sprinkle rained off and on for a whole week so i couldnt use the dish washer. Then suddenly the forecast called for 2 sunny days. Endometriosis came to play and both days ended up being days in which i couldnt lift the 40 lb dishwasher and carry it to the porch dragging the tube and cord behind. I was so disappointed. The sunny days came and went and i did not wash the dishes. Days later another partly sunny day was forecasted. I got home from work just in time to carry the dish washer from the shed to the porch, set it up, load it, and run a cycle. The sun set completely about 5 minutes before the drying cycle had finished. Not wanting to lift and transport the thing while it was full of scorpions, i paused the cycle 5 minutes early and unplugged it. I dumped the home depot bucket, unloaded the dish washer onto the stove top, carried it back to the shed, and locked it up for the night. Then all the scorpions took over the porch and the dogs and i went inside.

Like the laundry line, the use of the dishwasher has to be planned around the sun and the weather. However, the dish washer remains my favorite tool/possession and i do so love standing on the porch and watching the water go round with the little spinning plastic blades on top and bottom. The 90 minute show makes lifting and carrying it across the property worth it. It also plays a jingle when the cycle is done and the interior lights up blue while its washing or when you open the door. What a fascinating and wonderful device!
