Hypothetically if a person bought a 1.5 ton object outright with cash and then found themselves in a situation where they were being harassed by bill collectors, their credit was ruined, and that 1.5 ton object was about to be seized by a third party due to “non payment” it might really make that person lose their faith in the endearing qualities of humanity, hypothetically.
